KEITH HALL’S NETWORK MARKETING BELIEF SYSTEM

I have watched and listened to people in this industry for 30 years. I have seen some really great leaders who emerged and made a name for themselves and for their companies. Whenever I hear of a person who has having lots and lots of success in network marketing, I try and go hear them speak. Keith Halls recently spoke at The Association of Network Marketing Professionals conference in Dallas, we talked about it here at length in a previous post.

One of the biggest questions I always had was, how did they do it? What allowed some people to succeed in network marketing while other people, in the same company and possibly even more experienced, didn’t have success in network marketing?

Fact: The Top Leaders in Network Marketing Are Able To Establish A Strong Belief System

The top distributors in great network marketing companies like Amway, NuSkin, Herbalife and the other giants have one thing in common, an unshakable belief system. Did the belief system come over night? No! It took them time, but they worked hard to develop a belief system in:

  1. Their Products
  2. Their Network Marketing Company
  3. Their Compensation Plan
  4. Themselves.

In Network Marketing, Belief Is Key!

Network marketing, direct sales, MLM or other home based business opportunities are all hoping that their members will develop a strong belief in their company and it’s products, they know that the person with a strong belief system is the person who will succeed in network marketing.

Many years ago, I began a system of self study. I called it “The 20 Minute Belief System”. The system revolved around a person reading for 15 minutes a day. What should that person read about? It’s easy, read about the 4 items mentioned above. Then for 5 minutes, record what you read that day. Type what you learned in network marketing and then save it in folders.

For over 5 years now, I have been reading, recording and filing my notes away. Can you imagine how many notes I have in my own personal library? One day, I printed them out and was amazed. I literally had thousands of pages of notes, all arranged by topics in network marketing.

Now, if I ever have a question or if a friend calls me with a question, I refer to my notes and give them the answers I have learned from experts. Actually, I have quotes from so many people, I can’t even remember half of them, but the material they shared with me has made a difference in my network marketing life!!

As you start your team or as you are expanding your team, be sure to
approach the millionaire you know and invite him or her to be part of
your team. Call the doctor or lawyer you have always feared calling. I
will tell you a secret. I speak with other millionaires almost every
day and also with my friends who are professionals. Do you know what
so many of them are now asking me a similar question? They ask,
“Keith, we are making a lot of money right now and we want to retire
someday, but we can’t. The interest we earn on our savings is so
little. We need to find something so that we can have residual income
for the rest of our lives. Can you help us?” These are the same people
who made fun of me for years for being a network marketer. Now, as
they approach the end of their working years, they want to have what
only network marketing can offer, and that is residual income. You
should talk with and sponsor people who have had success in their life
and yet they can see their lifestyle slipping away because they don’t
have residual income. In today’s world, these are some of the people
willing to work the hardest to succeed. They want the residual income
to keep up their lifestyle. So, instead of being scared to call them,
you should seek them out. They need what only you have to offer!

On September 30, 2002, a 27-year-old man called the millionaire he
knew. I know he was scared, but he called and guess what? The
millionaire joined his team. In the company they joined, the 27 year
old was able to match a rather large portion of the checks of the

Those who achieve success by treating others poorly, will find their wealth evaporate and only loneliness as their companion. Those reach out and help others, those who are kind to others, will find the true meaning of success. They will be admired and loved by all. This RULE is essential in all people.

9 Rules Of Success Massive Action Brings Results

9) The ninth RULE is the final one. It is the RULE that binds all nine together. Only by massive action, by working effectively and efficiently, of going the extra mile, will one find results. One must be willing to stretch and grow, both in wisdom and in time spent. The drive to succeed is only completed through massive action.

These 9 RULES of Success , when learned and applied will help everyone, regardless of age or status, of wealth or poverty, achieve the success they are seeking. Each one must be followed. If one casts one RULE aside, they only do so at the peril of their future.

The Association of Network Marketing Professionals Welcomes Legend Keith Halls

This last week-end in Dallas, Texas, Keith Halls captured the audience with his speech, “The 9 Rules of Success”. He was able to keep the audience on the edge of his seat, as he shared the stories of how we has overcome a speech impediment caused by a brain tumor , as well as 10 abdominal surgeries. Though he still has pain from them every day of his life, he has never let them deter him from achieving success.

Keith Halls has truly set the bar for success. He is the first and only person to have ever truly succeeded on the Corporate side of Network Marketing, earning over 25 million dollars and at the height of his career, he left and became a member on the Distributor side, with a completely new company. Cory and His Accident

Of all the examples I have ever seen of hard work, one experience stands out in my mind. It is not of Network Marketing, but it was and still is the greatest example of hard work I have ever witnessed.

Many years ago, I got a phone call early one Sunday morning. It was a frantic call from my sister who was calling to tell me about a horrible accident. Her 10 year old son, Cory, had been shot in the head, the victim of an accidental shooting. Cory was life-flighted to a prominent hospital in Salt Lake City. The situation was extremely serious and Cory was not expected to live. I remember that Sunday morning at the hospital, when two different times, the doctors who were operating and working on Cory came and told those of us in the waiting room that he had passed away. Both times, within minutes, they came running back out to tell us he was alive. Miraculously, Cory made it thru the first night. For the next 6 months, while he was in the hospital; the doctors had him induced into a coma. At least 4 to 5 times a month, doctors would tell my sister that Cory would not live through the night; yet each time he did

Finally, nearly 8 months after the accident, Corey was able to return home. He wore a helmet that looked much like a football helmet. In their surgeries, Cory had part of his brain removed and also a large part of the skull. One accident or slip of a step could be fatal for him. Yet, my sister knew he would want to be as normal as possible and she was determined to make sure that all was as well as it could be. All of us, family and friends were broken hearted for him and also for my sister and brother-in-law (his parents). We wondered what kind of a life he would have. Would he recognize us? Would he be able to talk, to read, or to live something of a normal life?

I was amazed and proud at the thousands of hours spent by my sister to help him. Gradually he recovered enough to go back to school. Each and every assignment was a struggle and every evening, Cory and my sister Sallie worked many hours every night to finish his homework. Cory, who had been through so many surgeries and even had part of his brain removed, was able to make the Honor Roll in high school. I think of the number of times when I made the Honor Roll in high school. If I were to add them all together, the number would be 0. I didn’t take advantage of my opportunities to learn when I had them; I was too lazy to do the work I needed to. Yet, here was my nephew who overcame seemingly impossible obstacles and taught me how to work. He even went to the university and is now working and married to a wonderful girl. All of the miracles were only possible from a very kind God, an incredible boy, and also an amazing mother, my sister Sallie.

Opening in Thailand

In the latter part of the year 2003, the company I was a distributor in announced that they were going to open the country of Thailand. By that time, I was already having great success in Japan and a lot of distributors had heard about it. Since many of them were rather jealous, I strongly encouraged everyone who wanted to go and build in Thailand to do so. I knew it could be rewarding.

Nearly 25 people flew to Thailand on the initial recruiting trip to build a downline. The company we were in had a binary compensation plan. Of the 25 people who went, 24 were on one side of the binary tree. Further, they all shared a common leg. By working together, this would be extremely beneficial for those 24. On the other side of the binary tree, only one person went… me. I was on my own!

I flew to Thailand about 5 times before the Grand Opening. Every time I went, there were at least 10 if not 15 people who also went, but they were all working on the other side of the tree. In the beginning, I was politely teased about how many people their new team would have versus mine. They certainly had everything in their favor. There were a lot more of them so they could hold a lot more meetings and begin duplicating quickly. However, there was a big difference in how we worked. I stayed at a separate hotel from everyone else. Why? I noticed on the first trip, that everyone wanted to go out and see the beautiful sites, especially at night time. Thailand has many wonderful museums and has a wonderful history. I had to decide, did I want to go visit the King’s Castle, or see the famous Emerald Buddha like the others did, or did I want to build my own castle of a team? The night time hours were some of the best hours to meet people and build teams. I politely declined their invitation, never really saying much. The next morning, I would be gone long before they arose. I wanted to make sure I met everyone I could before they went to work.

I had recruited two wonderful couples who were the main leaders and together, we built our team. Chanida and Nat Puranaputra and also Khun Lek and Dr. Rangsan and I worked around the clock. I promised them I would work 25 hours a day if I needed to and it felt like we did on every day of every trip. But, I didn’t go to see the sites. I went to build a team. On the plane ride home, I heard about all of the places where the others went. What I didn’t hear about from them was the new team they were building.

About 3 ½ months after going to Thailand on our first trip, the company held an open house for the Grand Opening. I had privately spoken with the President of Synergy and also the President of Nature’s Sunshine, our parent company. I personally guaranteed 2,000 tickets, if they would rent a room that would be big enough. I told them I could easily fill up that much space. I also begged for their silence, because I wanted to keep the success I was having in Thailand a secret, until the opening meeting. Naturally, when the others from the USA heard that a room for 2,000 had been rented and that tickets for the event were being sold quickly, they assumed that their new members had really gotten to work and that most of the people buying tickets were from their labors. It only made sense, right? 24 of them working and only me on the other side?

On opening night, the company actually rented a room for 2,500. One of the first speakers was the leader of the other group. She stood and confidently walked to the podium and began her speech. It was a wonderful talk and then, to prove that their team was very big, she proudly asked for all of the leaders from the USA to stand. Nearly 15 people in the audience stood up along with their spouses. She thanked them for the hours and hours of time and service they had given on behalf of their team and the company. Next, she asked for all of the members in the audience, who were the new members of their entire group efforts to stand. If I were to generously guess, probably only 25 people stood up; 25 out of 2,500. It was hard to find anyone who had joined their team. It was a very humbling moment for her and her team.

When I spoke, everyone in the audience recognized me. Why? Because I had been massively working with every bit of time I could. I didn’t ask for my team to stand, that would have been another embarrassing moment for the other team. I did ask for all of the members to stand and give thanks to the company leaders who had sponsored the event.

When the President of the Company stood, he thanked the 2,500 in attendance and also the approximately 1,000 other people who were joining via satellite. He explained that this was the largest room they could rent in Thailand, but since they sold so many extra tickets, he personally thanked me for renting another hotel, so that none of the members would be left out.

I have to admit, it was a proud night for me. I heard the spouse of one of the other members angrily ask her spouse why they didn’t have hardly any members to show for their efforts and why I had been able to nearly fill the room? What had they been doing? I felt bad for him, but only so much. He and others had gone on a vacation for 3 to 4 times and that is why they didn’t grow. I had gone to work. I had gone to work with all of my heart, might, mind, and soul. I had gone to succeed and I did. But only because I not only worked, but I massively worked!

I will share with you a story. I wish I knew the author to give him or her credit. It is a story called “The Obstacle in Our Path.”

“In ancient times, a King had a boulder placed on a roadway. Then he hid himself and watched to see if anyone would remove the huge rock. Some of the King’s wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by and simply walked around it.

Many loudly blamed the King for not keeping the roads clear, but none did anything about getting the big stone out of the way. Then a peasant came along carrying a load of vegetables. On approaching the boulder, the peasant laid down his burden and tried to move the stone to the side of the road. After much pushing and straining, he finally succeeded. As the peasant picked up his load of vegetables, he noticed a purse lying in the road where the boulder had been. The purse contained many gold coins and a note from the King indicating that the gold was for the person who removed the boulder from the roadway. The peasant learned what many others never understand. Every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve one’s condition.”

I envied her, she seemed so gay, and I wished I was as fair.
When suddenly she rose to leave, I saw her hobble down the aisle.
She had one leg; she wore a crutch.

Later while walking down the street,
I saw a child with eyes of blue.
He stood and watched the others play.
He didn’t know quite what to do.
I stopped a moment and then I said,
“Why don’t you join the others, dear?”
He looked ahead without a word,
And then I knew, he couldn’t hear.

Ted Nuyten – I highly recommend this – must have – book!

Mentor of legends in the Network Marketing Industry as Top Earner Ken Porter (MonaVie), and Chanida Puranputra (bHip) among many others.
